Remember Robin Hood and Little John, battling it out with long sticks until someone got knocked into the water? Come and see for yourself how deadly and effective such a simple weapon can be. 

Participants will be shown effective techniques for proper distancing, revolutions, and follow through to achieve both good targeting skills and penetration. 

 Medieval warfare could best be described as brutal and efficient so unlike what you might see in TV and Movies, our focus here is on more historically accurate methods. We cover a range of time periods and cultures from the Celtic/Roman times of the 700's to the English Civil War of the mid 1600's. Your 3-hour Introductory class will introduce you to all the various types of weapons we offer instruction for as well as debunking a number of myths along the way, both Hollywood and historical . Ongoing classes will continue in our standard 2-hour format with the focus shifting to a more indepth instruction in your weapon(s) of choice.

 We use small caliber, high-powered gas pistols based on the Colt 1911 platform. Modified to increase the velocity to higher speeds than your standard air pistol but remain less than 500 FPS. This means no licensing is required to learn to shoot. Standard range safety protocols, safe weapons handling/operation, and good shooting techniques are covered. 

 Introducing you to simple but effective techniques for when your situation no longer allows for either walking away or talking your way out, as well as how best to avoid those situations. 

Starting with simple, easy to understand but effective defense, attack/counterattack techniques with and/or against an edged weapon. 

Often called Atll Atll's, this type of thrown weapon dates back to Paleolithic times and the hunting of wooly mammoths, <Long before someone figured out how to put a string on the stick and call it Archery>.
